So much rage about this place
Where do I start?? Im literally counting the days to move out.
I was super excited to be moving into my first apartment! My roommates and I toured the place a few months before move in and it looked so nice! It was clean and everything worked and they made it look like a home.
That was not the case when we moved in. When was the last time they deep cleaned this apartment??There were dead bugs on the window ledge, mold in the kitchen AND in the shower, built up dust in the air vent from like 5 years ago!!Not to mention all the broken things around the apartment?! Why havent they been replaced BEFORE MOVE IN?? Every time we turned on the ceiling fan it would wobble and shake as if it were about to fall straight down. The bathroom doors didnt lock or even latch properly. It would take the dryer 3 trys sometimes to dry a full load of laundry.
Good luck with trying to get maintenance to fix something because usually theyre always busy or they just mess with the things and say its fixed when its not. they will move in whoever they want into your apartment without even really giving a heads up (male, female, WHOEVER THEY WANT). My roommates and I were under the impression that we would be the only 3 in our apartment and were surprised when we found some guy claiming to be our roommate. This guy, was an alcoholic and would literally tear my room apart while I was gone to see if I had any alcohol. One weekend, my door was locked, and he BROKE MY *** door! I went to the office the next day and they told me this guy had actually been evicted and theyll fix my door. 1.Why didnt they check to see if he was actually gone and moved out? 2.They NEVER fixed my door. My dad fixed it 6 months later for my safety
Theyll let literally anyone waltz right in without giving proper notice. I was literally sitting on the couch and someone knocked once on the door. Before I even got the chance to open it for them they were walking right past me, not acknowledging me, straight towards my bedroom. He claimed he was there to clean the vacant room for move in. This is apartment 307 right?? That room is vacant right?? 1.No sir, its not. And you would know that, if you looked at the big numbers on the door. 2.You cant walk into someones home like that. Its bad customer service and its sketchy af. Has no one heard of rape?? 3.I forgot to mention, he had a friend with him. Why didnt his friend also see that it was the wrong apartment??
When I went to the office, the manager basically said she could do anything about that because the cleaning crew wasnt even with the apartment. Im sorry, what?? So theyll just give the master key to literally any individual as long as that person appears to be doing a job? Regardless of whether or not that person works for CEV??I know that Im basically writing a book at this point, but it gets better. My sister was visiting me and a few family and friends in the area. She lives in California so I dont get to see her as often as Id like.Imagine my surprise when I get a text message saying that CEV has been trying to get in touch with me for a while because of my unauthorized occupant. They said that I owe them $375 for this violation!! Excuse me?? 1.They sent me like 2 emails about it. If I have a package or they have an announcement, theyll usually send out a text as well. I never got a text, I never got a call. Despite being in the office 5 times at least when my sis was in town, no one talked to me about it. Instead they sent me emails and instantly charged me. 2.Even though I DID offer for her to sleep on the couch, she refused because my roommates cat has fleas and the mold gave her a head ache. 3.I never see her so, yeah shed come over a lot, for a long time. But she NEVER spent the night. And she wasnt living here. They just assumed because she was a new face and she was around a lot. 4.In the email, they literally said that if they see her around again theyll arrest her for trespassing? Now Im afraid to even have someone over because they could be considered trespassing. What if that was one of my best friends?? Or even boy friend. 5.So I have to pay $375 on top of rent for family visiting?? No thank you. I went to the office to talk to them about it because its honestly ridiculous, and they said they would see about getting it removed. I opened my account today and it was at $804!!! I messaged them again, and they said they would take care of it. Now its at $790... okay thanks so much for subtracting $14 but thats still not enough. My rent is $399. How is that okay??
Just dont rent here. Literally, dorm life is better. Go ANYWHERE ELSE. If you already live here, Im sorry for your loss.

This apt. Complex is a joke!!
No! Just no!
Yeah the rent sounds nice, especially when all utilities are included besides power for a college town. But, I’m telling you!! My apt. Only has 3 people living in it.
(Power is split by two since the other two is married) We all work full time jobs and we are hardly home. Our first month bill started out low, and then it gradually increased, from $30 each too $100+ each. They told it it was bc, it was summer and it’s hot. i asked around and everyone bill seem to be low still.
They came and changed the filter in which it was filthy (our filter has been changed multiple times) and for a few months our power bill seemed around right. We were paying $40-$52. December power bill was $52. Come Jan.
bill it was $950 together, so $474 each. I was literally lost for words. We got into contact and they told us not to pay the power bill, but to just pay rent. (We have never been late in any payments since we moved in) so come feb 1 we just paid rent.
They told us they will just match it around the last couple months bill and go from there. They had a multiple people come out and look at our a.c/heat unit and they found things wrong with it. It took them from Jan. 20- feb.
26. finally they told us that corporate finally said just let them pay $500. Meaning just take off $450 and have us pay $500, so $250 each for my roommate and I, to top it off our bill that came out in feb. is $162 each.
So the $250+$162+$424 is all i have to pay come March 1. How is that even possible?! I tried to contact corporate myself and I’m currently waiting on my response. So RUN!
Run far away from CAMPUS EVALUATION here in Warrensburg! Bc, it is not worth the money. AT.
ALL!! P.s if I didn’t make much sense, I apologize, it’s hard to explain this situation over text.
I tried emailing and calling and NOTHING!

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!!HORRIBLE!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!

All they do is lie so they don't have to help you
Some of the most incompetent and unprofessional people I have ever seen. We will start from the begging and just run from there.
Day 1 moved into a flea infested apartment. Office told me I could not move out and that I had to just wait until they could get the exterminator in. I had to find another place to stay for a week because I was getting bitten horribly by them. The office threatened (James the assistant manager) threatened to tow my car for me being legitimately parked in front of my apartment.
No reason, just a message saying hey we are towing your car. When I called about it he basically told me he doesn't care and was towing it just cause he could. First maintenance visit, I put in a ticket and they didn't even look at it for 15 days. And thats from the front desk person at the time.
Didn't even bother to look at it. Then when they did come to fix my dryer the broke the door to the laundry room. I complained they didn't bother fixing it at any point after promising multiple times they would. Next time they came into my apartment to clean after the 2 kids that moved out.
This time they broke the stove and a doorknob to a bedroom. They fixed the stove after a few days and just left the doorknob hanging out of the door. Last big thing (plenty of more little things I hated about this place) is that they are fighting even talking to me about my returning my security deposit. The office sent it to the wrong address, one that doesn't actually exist.
So I had to have them resend it. They claim to have, but James (don't trust anything this guy says) decided to lie to me about the status and how it works. Yea I don't know how it works, but it could not be more clear he was just going to lie to me to get me off the phone instead of doing his job. At this point I have been trying to contact the person in charge for 3 weeks and can not get a call or email back.
Tried to speak with the person who picked up the phone about it and she wants to cry and take personal offense to everything even though I'm asking her questions as she is the one currently representing her company. Didn't even insult her once, or say anything negative.
Just asked questions. Living here was a miserable decision and there are tons of places that will at least treat you with common decency unlike anyone in this place.
Preferred solution: I just want my money, that you guys sent me a receipt saying you owe me.

Hello Ma'am! I am actually having the same issue right now.
I signed a lease back in 2013 for the apartment with my 3 other friends. We each needed a co-signer. I had gotten my step mom to co-sign for me for the 1st year only. I stayed there another year like an idiot after they pretty much forced us into signing a new lease a year in advance in order for our rent not to increase.
I signed the new lease but I did not need a co-signer for the second year of me living there. I lived there for the full lease and moved out on move out day back in July of 2015. Now, I am dealing with not only are they lying about me not paying the last month's rent, but they are trying to say that my mom (not my step mom) co-signed on my lease for the second year and now it is hitting her credit score. They have no information that they can provide me with that states she signed anything.
The creditor pulled it up and saw that both my Mom and Step Mom's names were used as a co-signer. So its now on both their credit reports. I am wanting to know from you, how you handled the situation and maybe what steps we should be making because they forged my biological's mom on a lease that never existed since they state that she signed it in 2016 when I was already good and moved out of not only the apartment but I reside in California and have been since 2016.
If you could give me any kind of advice, I would greatly appreciate it because this is a nightmare. Thank you A.Foster
